1. The tutorial: Ice King and BMO

The game drops you into a short story: Cuber and Prismo send you to the Ice Palace, where the Ice King wants a “date” with a princess. You fight a wave of penguins, then the Ice King himself.

  • The Ice King has 3,000 HP. Standing right next to him, clicking to attack and pressing Q and E whenever they are ready beat him for us. Running around and dodging constantly was worse: it pushed Finn into the arena edge.
  • When he gives up (“Augh - fine, FINE, I’m going!”) the quest becomes Break the Ice. Follow the arrow to the frozen BMO and press E. Hitting the ice does nothing.
  • Press Collect to add BMO, then open the chest in Prismo’s yellow room. Jake and Prismo talk, and you land in the hub.

If you leave the game in the middle of a tutorial fight, the fight restarts when you come back.

2. Equip BMO, then talk to Finn

The tracker says Buddy Up: Talk to Finn. Rescuing BMO does not put him in your buddy slot, so do that first:

  1. Press MANAGE at the bottom of the screen, pick Finn and press Manage.
  2. Open the smiley tab on the left, select BMO and press Equip. BMO now follows you and his Mark Target ability sits on F.
  3. Find Finn near the training dummies in the hub and talk to him. Because BMO is already equipped he skips his speech (“You didn’t even need the speech. I had a whole speech.”).
BMO in Finn’s buddy slot: +3% XP and Mark Target.
Buddy Up reward: 3 Medicine Milk. A Supplies button appears at the top right.

Medicine Milk heals 8% per second, up to 48% of max health. We tested one in Mount Cragdor: 100 → 244 HP on a 300 HP Finn (+144 = 48%). Use it from Supplies during a run.

Finishing Buddy Up unlocks two quests at once: Prove Your Hero Stuff (complete Mount Cragdor Easy) and Do Not Open, Princess Bubblegum’s event quest. Quest details.

3. Grab the free Coins

  • Daily Rewards pops up when you join. Our first claim was 150 Coins; later days on the calendar show 20 and 30 Gems.
  • Code COINS50: Settings → Reward Code → Submit → Collect. +50 Coins. Codes page.

We started with 23 Coins and had 223 after these two steps.

4. Press Start on the daily quests

The quest scroll says “Visit the Notice Board for Daily Quests”. The board stands next to the icy Upgrades area in the hub; walk up and press E.

Each daily quest has a Start button. We played an adventure before pressing it and the board showed no progress afterwards, so start all three first.

The notice board: three daily quests and 25 Gems for completing all of them.

5. Mount Cragdor Easy

Press PLAY, pick Mount Cragdor and choose Easy (recommended level 1). Start on the party screen actually launches the run. You get 3 lives; the run has 5 sections, the last one being the boss.

Solo at level 1 it is harder than “Easy” suggests. Here is what helped on our second run, which got much further than the first:

  • Fight in the open. Trees block the camera and you lose track of Bees.
  • Watch for red rings. Worms flash a red ring before they hit. Dodge with Shift, but not into a tree trunk.
  • Drink Medicine Milk early, around 40% health, because it heals over time.
  • Don’t mash E near the stump with a sword in it. E also interacts, and that stump opens a 200-Robux sword offer.
  • Bring friends. Party size goes up to 4, and the loading screen says adventures scale to your party.

Full Mount Cragdor page with enemies, the drop table and both of our runs.

Mistakes we made (so you don’t)

  • We went into Mount Cragdor before doing Buddy Up, so we had no Medicine Milk. That run failed in 8:45.
  • We played an adventure before pressing Start on the daily quests, so it counted for nothing.
  • We talked to Princess Bubblegum too early and thought her event quest was missing.
  • Fast-typing COINS50 dropped letters and the box cleared with no message. Type codes slowly.

FAQ

What should I do first in Adventure Time RPG?

Finish the Ice King tutorial, equip BMO, then talk to Finn in the hub to complete Buddy Up. That gives you 3 Medicine Milk heals and unlocks your first real quests, including Princess Bubblegum’s event quest.

Why can’t I find Princess Bubblegum’s quest?

Her Do Not Open quest only appears after you finish Buddy Up (talk to Finn in the hub). Before that she only says one generic line.

Is Mount Cragdor Easy hard solo?

For a level 1 Finn with the Stick, yes. Our first solo run failed in 8:45 and the second reached section 3 of 5 before running out of lives. Bring friends, use Medicine Milk, and fight in open ground.

Do you keep Coins and XP if you fail an adventure?

Yes. After two failed runs we kept the Coins picked up during the run (7 and 16) and the XP: Finn went from 288/500 XP to level 2.

What should I spend Coins and Gems on first?

We have not tested upgrade costs yet, so we cannot rank upgrades honestly. For now: don’t spend Gems on cosmetics, since skins have “zero stats, pure style”. We will add a spending order once we have measured upgrades.
